Alex Lijkwan & provide targeted solutions

After a consultation with Alex you know exactly where you stand. As a legal expert in envionmental law, he provices targeted advice – including to governments, project developers and real estate owners. For them, Alex focuses on topics such as permit processes, the (re)develoment of real estate and the enforcement of constuction and environmental regulations. He also proviceds advice and assistance to his clients on issues relating to general administrative law  – including subsidies and the Government Information (Public Access) Act.

Before Alex started working at hielkema & co he had already built up a considerable cv. He obtained his master’s degree in constitutional  and administrative law from the University of Amsterdam and graduated cum laude from the Spatial Planning and Environment course at the Grotius Academy. He started his career at an international law firm and subsequently worked as an independent lawyer in real estate and environmental law. Alex has been a partner at Hielkema & co since Februari 2021.

 

Additional functions and activities

• Teaches at the Study Center for Business and Government (Studiecentrum voor Bedrijf en Overheid, SBO), including on the General Administrative Law Act and the future Environmental Act.

• Lecturer at the VNG Academy, inlcuding on the General Administrative Law Act and the future Environmental Act.

• Member of the Administative Law Association.

• Member of the Environmental Law Association.

• Member of the Association of Young Real Estate Lawyers.

• Co-author of the SDU Commentary General Administrative Law Act.

 

Alex Lijkwan has registered as a specialization in the register of the Dutch Bar Association: Administrative law, Environmental law, Real estate law and Construction law.
